Make-A-Wish® International and Utomik have an opportunity to collaborate in an authentic and meaningful partnership, and through our efforts, impact and inspire our communities.

Wish children around the world connect to their friends and momentarily escape from their treatments by playing video games while fighting for their lives. Utomik's games can enhance the lives of these children by offering a window into a world beyond illness, and enrich gaming communities by giving them the opportunity to support wish granting through fundraising.

We are honored to be considered for this partnership knowing that, together, we can grant more wishes to children with critical illnesses. This page provides short and long term opportunities to highlight the impact Utomik provides wish children, generate funding to increase our wish capacity and transform lives around the world.

About Make-A-Wish

Founded in Phoenix, Arizona in 1980, when a group of caring volunteers helped a young boy fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer, Make-A-Wish is one of the world's leading children's charities.

International Wishes Granted since 2015

With the help of generous donors and over 45,000 volunteers, Make-A-Wish has collectively granted approximately nearly 480,000 wishes worldwide since 1980.

Wish Granting Support

In-Kind Activation Opportunity

Support wish granting with in-kind donations for video game wishes around the world.

In recent years, video game-related wishes have increased exponentially. These wishes have ranged from wish children meeting their favorite streamers, to attending live gaming events, to owning a gaming PC.

Provide Keys for Wish Children

Utomik has the unique opportunity to be involved with wishes by providing wish children with subscriptions to its gaming platform. This wish enhancement, when paired with a video game wish, gives wish children the opportunity to play games on their new devices, with friends and/or with their favorite streamers.

Please note: once the requested wish data is available, Make-A-Wish International and Utomik can revisit this opportunity to identify next steps.

Cause Marketing

Fundraising Activation Opportunity

Support Make-A-Wish International with each subscription purchase.

One successful method of consistently raising funds for Make-A-Wish International with minimal maintenance and support is to allow customers to support Make-A-Wish as part of their purchase.

Donate Portion of Subscription Purchases

There are multiple ways Utomik can structure a donation offer for each subscription purchased on its site. One way is to identify a period of time in which a portion of all subscriptions purchased will be donated to Make-A-Wish International. Alternatively, Utomik can give its customers the option of making a donation to Make-A-Wish International at checkout. Customers could either choose a donation amount (example: €1, €5, €10) or "round-up" their total to an even amount, with the difference going to Make-A-Wish International.

Stream [FTW] Support

Fundraising Activation Opportunity

Support Stream [FTW] (Stream For The Wishes) by providing access to streamers, matching campaign donations and providing incentive prizes for streaming campaigns.

Stream [FTW] is a new, innovative program aimed at the next generation of Make-A-Wish champions, empowering them to share the lasting impact of a wish with their global audience and support the mission through charity streams. Stream [FTW] invites individual gamers or streamers to host charity streams in support of Make-A-Wish. Funds raised by charity streams present a new funding opportunity for Make-A-Wish International.

Encourage Streamers to Host Fundraisers

Utomik has an opportunity to support Make-A-Wish International through Stream [FTW] by inviting Utomik's partnered streamers and content creators to host their own charity streams. Funds raised by charity streams will help Make-A-Wish grow one step closer to fulfilling its vision to grant the wish of every eligible child, made possible by Utomik.

Provide Donation Incentives

During charity streams, streamers frequently incentivize their community to give by offering prizes for donating specific amounts. Utomik can offer subscription keys as incentive prizes, which simultaneously supports Make-A-Wish fundraisers, encourages increased donations, and markets Utomik's platform to each streamer's unique audience.

Match Campaign Donations

During charity streams, corporations frequently "surprise" streamers and their community by offering to match donations made during a specific period of time. This frequently incentivizes the streamer's community to donate, and builds hype around the stream, increasing viewership. Corporate matches can also be planned, but surprise matches typically result in more engagement. Utomik can offer donation matches during specific streams (perhaps those hosted by its partnered streamers) which simultaneously supports Make-A-Wish fundraisers, encourages increased donations, and markets Utomik to each streamer's unique audience.

We strive to do more because we know that the wish granting experience can be a critical part of a child’s healing process. Make-A-Wish granted more than 30,000 wishes last year, but we are far from meeting the global need. There are still thousands of children diagnosed each year with a critical illness whom Make-A-Wish is trying to reach through medical outreach and established global infrastructure that supports and delivers life-changing wishes. To be able to grant the wish of every eligible child, we need Utomik’s support in our pursuit.
